Brief Riding History
Years Riding: 9, Current Trainer: Carl Bessette & Penny Lombardo
In 2003 I started training with Jennifer Bieling. I trained and competed many green horses and ponies in the
hunter, jumper and equitation divisions. In 2004 my mother and I imported a 4 year old large pony who I
successfully trained and showed in the pony hunters and the pony medals as well. In 2005 I competed in the
medium pony medal at the USEF Pony Finals. In 2005 I also placed 3rd in the Equestrian All Star Games in the
pony jumpers on a catch ride. In 2007 I won the Pony Medal at Littlewood Which qualified me for the 2007
USEF Pony Finals Medal class. I was Large Green 2007 Littlewood Spring Circuit Reserve Champion. I placed
7th in the hack in the large green division at 2007 USEF Pony Finals. I was also 4th overall for the Large Green
Pony of the year at the South Florida Hunter Jumper Association. We recently imported a 4 year old Dutch
Warmblood who I am training to be a Medal/Maclay Horse. I now train with Carl Bessette and Penny
Lombardo in Wellington, Fl during the winter.
Outside hobbies and other activities: I like to go running, hangout with my friends and just being with my horse.

I started riding 5 years ago in Brooklyn, New York at the Jamaica Bay Riding Academy. I moved to Florida 4
years ago and continued to ride, but just concentrated on flat work. Bridget Imparato recommended that I move
to a different barn where I could learn to jump. I instantly loved it. In 2006 I was the year end Reserve
Champion in Short Stirrup Equitation at Horse Shows in the Park. In the same year I was also the 18"-2'
Mini-Medal Champion and Reserve Division Champion at Horse Shows in the Park. Within one year I moved
up to the 2'6" and I purchased my horse Tapestry. She is a Warmblood/Tb Cross and she is a perfect fit for me.
I finished second in points in the Nation in 2008 for the Marshall & Sterling League Bit O' Straw Division and
competed there this past September. Unfortunately my horse had tied up from the shipping and I went into my
class without the benefit of any warm up. We were called back for a second trip and finished with an 8th place
ribbon out of 40 riders.
Outside hobbies and other activities: I am involved with the Interact Club at NSBHS. We do volunteer work for
the Boys and Girls Club, hold car washes for donations, bake sales etc.

USHJA 3rd Overall Zone 1 (New England) in Children’s Hunter Horse –2007
FW-PHA Mini Medal Finals-Champion (1st)-2007
CHJA Finals (State Finals)- Children’s Medal Winner- 1st out of 111-2007
In addition, I received the Emerson Burr Award at the Fairfield County Hunt Club at the end of this summer (2008). This
prestigious award is given to the best overall junior rider, and it recognizes talent as well as responsibility, motivation, and
dedication to both both the Hunt Club and to the sport itself.
I also competed in the "Big Eq" last fall and  winter on very green horse, just out of 1st Year Greens. Unfortunately, I had
devastating fall on April 9th 2008 and broke my shoulder. This was an extremely difficult injury to overcome, but I am now
completely recovered. Obviously, this greatly impacted my ability to ride and show this past year. However, I look forward to the
rest of this show season, and I am hoping to have a successful last junior year.
