Brief Riding History
I started taking riding lessons in October 2006 after my dad took me up to the The All-American Quarter Horse Congress to watch the
Hunter/Jumper classes there. As we walked through the tent stalls, one of the girls that was showing allowed me to sit on her horse as she
got ready to show in her class. I was hooked from that moment. I took lessons from various trainers on a once per week basis until
February of 2008 when we purchased our first horse.
From February 2008 until December 2009, I continued to work with a couple of different trainers until my dad ran into my current trainer,
Katie Griffiths. Since 2009, Katie and I have been working together, lessoning three times per week, and I go out to my barn to work with
my horse another 1-2 times per week on my own, along with showing at least twice per month from about mid-April through the end of
September. My show experience has been somewhat limited to open, local, 4H, and smaller breed shows, mainly due to my unfamiliarity
with the discipline based show circuits. I have recently became an IEA member, and will be competing in Hunter/Jumpers with my IEA team
to further my show experience.

Brief Riding History
Years Riding: 7  Current Trainer: Liz Kanan
I began riding in 2005 right after my eighth birthday at a home school summer camp program. I rode Dressage for a year and a half and
then began riding Hunter/Jumper, in which I have now been riding and competing at the local level for five years. I purchased my first pony
when she was very green, and soon after bought a large pony who gave me the confidence and skill to come back and work with my first
pony again as a more experienced rider, both to raise her value and to compete in the Marshall and Sterling Children's Pony Hunter
Classic and Medal. I began showing at local non rated shows when I was ten years old and currently show about once a month at the
Horse Shows in the Park series shows. I won fourth place in the HSITP Mini Medal in 2009 as well as year-end Champion in the Short
Stirrup division. In 2010 I was Equitation Medal Rider Champion at 2'3'', as well as  year-end Champion high-point rider in the Modified
2'3'' division. I did not show as much in 2011 because I moved barns in the middle of the year, but will be showing once a month again in
2012. I currently train with Liz Kanan out of Cocoa, Florida, and I spend a couple of weeks out of the year training with Jen Kallam in
Woodside, California.
Outside hobbies and other activities: I play the cello, sing in my school's chorus, and love to read.
Other awards and organizations: I'm a member of the National Junior Honor Society, as well as Tri-M, the music national honor society. I
have obtained Highest Honors for each academic quarter since the Seventh Grade.
