Brief Riding History
Years Riding: 12 Current Trainer: Cyndy VanDerMeer
I started riding at 4 as a lesson student.  At age 9 I got my first pony and began competing in USEF A rated shows.  She was a bit of an
“unknown” but our first year together we earned Children’s Hunter Pony Reserve Champion year end in NEHC.  My time with her was
short as I outgrew her quickly.  In 2007, I got my first horse and we competed in the 2’6 divisions to many year end awards but sadly after
only having him 6 months he went lame due to an old injury.  I spent a year faithfully rehabbing him until we decided to retire him.  In 2009,
my parents purchased my current horse.  He was dead green when we got him.  The decision to purchase a green horse was difficult
knowing I would have to give up a competitive schedule until he was ready.  In 2010 we hit the ground running in the 2’6 divisions to
successful win many year end awards in the Children’s Equitation and Children’s adult special hunters.  2011 was to be a big move up year
to the 3’ division when my horse sustained a minor injury which kept him out of competition.  The summer of 2011, I leased a 3’ horse for
several months to give me experience in the 3’ divisions.  I have had some setbacks and sadness in my riding career but this has allowed me
to gain experience riding many different mounts to keep my riding skills sharp.  My animals are everything to me and our chosen paths are
decided on by what is best for us as a team.

Years Riding: 12 Current Trainer: Allison Black
I have been riding for 12 years at Fox lake Farm, competing in Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation.
I've had the opportunity to ride many horses, as well as train green ones. I ride almost everyday, usually riding many
extras. Currently I am showing in the Children's Jumpers. I qualified and competed at the 2011 Washington National
Horse Show and Harrisburg in the Children's Jumpers on my horse Sarto.
