Outside hobbies and other activities: My curiosity and love of science has opened doors for me. I was selected to be part of the Spence School’s
Independent Science Research Program. After being selected, I personally secured an ongoing internship at Columbia University Medical Center’s
Science Research Center in the Melanoma Laboratory.  I work one on one with the doctors weekly and in summers up to my senior year where I
will present scientific findings.  I assist in experiments, handle and dissect mice in the laboratory. I have taken many courses at Columbia to allow
me to care for the animals in the lab.  From 2008-2011 I volunteered at Amaryllis Horse Rescue Center.  Since 2007 I work summer at various
riding stables) helping with care of the horses and children’s pony camp.  Since 2008, I have been selected by Spence School as part of the
modern dance ensemble group. Each year I participate in a two-day dance performance held at Symphony Space Theatre in NYC with over 800
in attendance. In addition to dancing several parts, I also choreograph and perform my own piece each year.  I am a classically trained pianist and
